Nowadays 90% of the plastic surgeries are performed with a novel technique that combines sedation, somnolence and relaxation combined with local anesthesia to accomplish particularly procedures as nose job, blepharoplasty, facial rejuvenation, chin surgery, otoplasty and liposuction.

This reduces the affliction and the worry about a prolonged general anesthesia. Plasic surgery complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, there is always a possibility of complications, including infection, or a reaction to the anesthesia. You can reduce your risks by closely following your surgeon's instructions both before and after surgery.

In about one case out of ten, a second procedure may be required, for example, to correct a minor deformity. Such cases are unpredictable and happen even to patients of the most skilled surgeons. The corrective surgery is usually minor.

For your safety you should be in Bogotá at least three days before the surgery, because it has been proven, that patients who have been in long flights have high risk of getting a lung embolism if they do not get the needed rest.
